Oklahoma activist lady helps create library in Kenya

The March/April issue of Oklahoma Today has a really intersting article about Oklahoma women's activist/advocate Jean Warner. She's quite a lady. According to the article, Ms. Warner participated in and lead an endeavor in Kenya to construct a "comprehensive new library at a school for hearing-impaired children in Meru".

"This Library will now serve as a community resource center not only for the deaf school, but also for the immediate communities," says Florence Mubichi of the Miriam Knana Mubichi Foundation. "We were able to put together a container of 20,000 reading and textbooks for kindergarten through college levels."

Sweet. Rock on Jean Warner.
